Modified Growth Releasing Factor (GRF) 1-29, commonly known as ModGRF(1-29) or CJC-1295 without DAC, is a synthetic analog of the naturally occurring hormone Growth Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH). The natural form of GHRH consists of 44 amino acids, while its shorter synthetic counterpart, Sermorelin (also known as GRF 1-29), has only 29 amino acids. ModGRF(1-29) is an advanced version of this synthetic peptide, featuring four substituted amino acids that enhance its stability by preventing degradation and oxidation during production, transportation, and inside the body. Additionally, these modifications improve its ability to bind to GHRH receptors, making it more effective.

Unlike CJC-1295 with DAC, which is bound to MPA to prolong its activity, ModGRF(1-29) lacks the lysine residue present in CJC-1295. This distinction ensures that ModGRF(1-29) has a shorter half-life compared to CJC-1295 with DAC, offering a performance similar to Sermorelin but with enhanced stability and receptor affinity. Essentially, ModGRF(1-29) is the same as CJC-1295 without DAC, delivering the benefits of GHRH stimulation without the extended action of DAC.
